「東京都民をはじめ、東京を訪れるすべての人に東京の水辺環境向上を見てもらい、環境保全の必要性を訴える」

高度経済成長期以降（１９６０年代後半）、東京の水辺は、生活排水が流れ込み臭い・汚いといわれる代名詞的な場所となっていました。しかし、公害問題がクローズアップされたおよそ５０年前から、さまざまな対策がスタートし、現在では、東京湾をはじめ、周辺の川や運河も環境改善が進み、多くの生物が生息し、市民の憩いの場へと変化してきています。また、２０２０年に開催予定の東京オリンピックは、都心の水辺周辺に会場を整備しており、都民だけで無く内外から多くの方訪れると推測されます。

そこで、東京港を中心とした水上フィールド（川・運河も含む）を使って、船で巡るツアーやイベントなどの水辺活性化活動や清掃活動などの環境保全活動を企画し、参加型の水辺環境の現状認知と更なる環境保全・改善について、多くの方に働きがけを行います。

To appeal for the need for environmental protection by providing opportunities Tokyo residents and visitors to see waterside environmental enhancement

Since the high economic growth of Japan (later 1960s), Tokyo’s waterfront has become well known as a “dirty and smelly place” due to the living wastewater flowing into canals. However, during the last 50 years, problems with pollution have started to receive attention and various measures have started. Today, the environment of Tokyo bay, its surrounding rivers and canals is in progress. There are many species living and it is changing to a recreation area for people.
2020 Tokyo Olympic, which will take place in waterfront of central Tokyo, is thought to attract a large number of visitors both in and outside of Tokyo. Therefore, we will reach out people by organizing participation type activities utilizing the water field around Tokyo port including rivers and canals.

• boat tours and events that revitalize the waterfront
• environmental conservation activities such as waterside clean-ups

船で巡る水辺スポットの紹介（年間事業）

誰も寄り付かなくなってから５０年、東京港周辺の水辺には、まだまだ周知されていないスポットが沢山あり、こうしたスポットを船で巡るイベントツアーを年間通して開催し、市民への水か辺に対する興味を高める活動を行います。

Introduce waterfront spots by boat

It has been 50 years since people have shunned the Tokyo Port area because of its condition. There are still many unknown attractive places to visit. By running the boat tours throughout the year, we aim to increase public interests.

水上から地域を結ぶ水上交通の可能性　（会員限定）

新たな観光資源として水路の活用が注目され、事業者が使用できる船着場の数が増えてきました。しかし、船着場の存在と水路を使った交通ルートの認知はまだまだ高くありません。そこで、アクセスできる船着場を結び、市民への水上交通の可能性と水辺に対する興味を高めて頂くために多くの舟運事業者と連携して実施します。

Possibilities of Water traffic that bridges communities (Only members)

Recently, waterways have caught attentions as a new truism resource. Therefore, the number of docks that permits commercial use has been increasing. On the other hand, the existence of docs and traffic routes are not well recognized. We will be the bridge to join accessible docs and increase public interests towards possibility of water traffic and waterfront.

水辺で過ごすライフスタイル・レクリエーション　（会員限定）

水質環境の向上から、東京湾周辺では沢山の水生生物などが生息し、楽しめる場所となってきました。そこで、水上での遊び（潮干狩り・釣りなど）を通して自然とふれあい、環境保全意識を高めるイベントを開催します。また、福島県猪苗代湖を周辺に展開しているキャンプ体験・農業体験などのイベントも行っています。

Life style recreation at waterfront (Only member)

Due to improvement of water quality, there are many aquatic species found around Tokyo Bay and it became an enjoyable place. Therefore, we will organize hands-on nature events to increase awareness of environmental conservation awareness, such as clamming and fishing.

東京の水辺を守る取り組み　（SEAVERS　水辺の清掃活動）

東京港周辺の水辺は、高潮や津波対策のため約７メートル防潮堤防が整備されています。これらの防潮堤防の外側には、生物多様性の対策が施され、水生生物が生息できる環境を整備していて、潮の干満は、こうした生物多様性の護岸に干潟のような効果をもたらし、多くの水生生物が生息する環境となっていますが、同時に、浮遊しているごみの漂着場所にもなっていました。当倶楽部では、近寄れない護岸にボートで上陸しゴミの回収を行う取り組みを、第1土曜日または、第3土曜日に実施します。また、企業の社会貢献活動の一環として参加要望があるため、定例または臨時で受入れを行っています。さらに、SEAVERSの活動を広めるため、多くの団体や事業者に支援・参加してもらうため、ブランド化を行い同類の活動を支援する体制を整える予定しております。

Activities to protect Tokyo’s waterfront (SEAVERS Waterfront Cleanups)

There are about seven meters high tide embankments surrounding Tokyo port area to prevent submergence from high tides and Tsunami. There are measures to conserve biological diversity outside of these embankments. The rise and fall of the tides bring tidal flat like effects to the embankments with biological diversity. It provides habitats to aquatic species at the same time traps floating wastes.
we will hold cleanups on the first and third Saturday in alternate months.
The new operation will be effective from March. The first Sunday in March, the third Saturday in April then the general operation follows from May. The schedule may change due to unavoidable circumstances.
We will accept participants from enterprises Also as a part of CSR activities of companies,
We have a plan to lay out framework of branding SEAVERS to roll out similar activities for following reasons,

• to spread SEAVERS activities
• To receive supports and participations from many organization and enterprises.

水路/水上を活用した環境教育プログラム

東京の水路には、江戸城の史跡や水質浄化の取り組み、治水対策の護岸や分水路などなど、さまざまな施設や資源を目にすることができる。これらは、日本経済の発展や利便性を優先した現代社会の裏で、変化していった東京の姿であり、私達が抱える環境問題（地球温暖化問題・水質環境問題・放射能など）と切っても切れない関係となっています。こうした資源を、船でめぐりガイドが解説することで、参加者に環境汚染のプロセスを理解してもらい、保全意識を高める手法として、2つのプログラムを実施します。
